UPDATE: deadline extended to March 16, 2015.

Visible White Photo Prize was founded to support international photographers who engage, creatively, with what is moving personal, social and political issues today.

The curators invite artists to reflect on the theme 'Familydom', which explores the varied and fragmented experiences we have in relation to the family. Which new iconographies can represent the family? In which ways can you question the family’s status as a socially significant institution today?

Projects can be presented as a Series, as an Essay or as a Photo Story. They should contain works in digital or analogue photography, or in computer graphic modelling, software art presented in a 2D format, digital manipulations, polaroids, mobile phone photographs or images taken in any other photographic devices.

It is possible to participate as an individual or as a group. Photographic images included in projects must have been taken within the last 10 years, and can or cannot have been exhibited before or presented in other prizes. Images can be uploaded online as JPG or PNG; at least 2,500 pixels on the longest side.

Artists retain copyright of all works they upload.

Entry fees for Single Work is 20 Euro (approx. 22 USD) and for Project is 70 Euro (includes upload of up to 10 images).

The prize is international, open to all photographers and artists using photography, regardless of age, sex, experience, occupation or geographic location.
