After twenty years promoting the artistic work of photographers and at the same time spreading the natural environment and its necessary protection, the Memorial Maria Luisa Photo Contest announces its twenty-sixth edition.

Mountain, nature, wildlife, climbing, landscape, underwater world, biodiversity, flora, extreme and adventure sports, etc. will be once again the theme of the contest. In addition, this year a special category has been created, dedicated exclusively to photos where white colour has a significant presence in the image.

Works has to be sent as digital file in JPEG format, preferably with colour profile Adobe RGB 1998 and must be 1920 pixels wide in its largest side, and a maximum weight of 2MB. Authors of short-listed photographs will be asked to provide RAW files as well.

Maximum of five photographs per entrant in each category. Typical adjustments (white balance, exposure, levels, contrast, colour saturation, focusing, vignetting removal, etc.) will be admitted.

Entry fee is 18 Euro (approx. 20 USD) for adult photographers.
Free for young under 20.

Eligibility

Open worldwide to all photographers, both amateurs and professionals.

Prize

• The overall winner will receive 3,000 Euro (approx. 3,370 USD)
• The category winner will receive 300 Euro (approx. 337 USD)
• Young Photographers Prize: Samsung’s premium tablet
• Special award for the theme of the year: BN008 Citizen watch

Moreover, a selection of the photographs submitted to the competition will be projected on Saturday 7 May, 2016 after the prize-giving ceremony, at a time and place to be designated by the Organisation. The Organisation will provide free accommodation for the winner and a companion.
