The first edition of Belgrade Photo Month Photography Festival, to be held during April 2016, is organising an International Open Call to young photographers.

The Festival will focus on photography exhibitions all around the city of Belgrade (Serbia), including also screenings of movies with photography as main topic, promoting the photography material and book market, workshops, lectures, portfolio reviews, etc.

Theme for this edition is Open.

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. Authors can apply with monochrome or color photos or a mixture of both, and images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the photographer.

Entries are limited to 1 project per entrant comprised of between 8 and 15 photographs. The maximum dimension for individual photos is 1920 pixels (longer edge), 72 dpi JPG, best compression quality.

Photographs should be accompanied by an artist's statement and a short curriculum vitae/biography along with a text about the project containing no more than 3,000 characters.

Copyright and all other author's rights belong to the photographer.

There is no entry fee.

Eligibility

Open worldwide to anyone, professional or amateur under the age of 25.

Prize

The organisers will choose the 3 best projects. From these the organisers will choose 1 winning project and will award prizes for 2nd and 3rd places. All 3 projects will be awarded Honoured Documents and they’ll form part of Belgrade Photo Month under the exhibition title: New Talents 2016.

The event will be promoted in Serbia and on international photography webs and magazines. There will be also a catalogue with all the details regarding the participants.
