The Southwest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (SWGLFF) is excited to announce its very first poster contest. We are calling all artists, graphic designers, photographers and everyone who loves to create.

This annual film festival, is celebrating its tenth year, and has expanded to a ten day event presented in the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The film festival will be held from September 28 - October 7, 2012. SWGLFF continues to present the best in queer cinema from around the world to the Southwest, and encourage all artists to submit their work for consideration.

Take your inspiration from anything and everything, and then design a poster that gets people excited about our Festival. We are looking for images that depict Queer Cinema in an interesting, relevant and visually innovative way that avoids stereotypes and clichés.

Entries will be judged by a panel of advertising and graphic arts professionals. Finalists will be displayed at the official Launch Party leading up to the Festival. So please make sure your artwork is printer-ready.

Individuals, teams or design firms may collaborate on any entry. Each entry covers up to three (3) designs. You may enter more than once.

There is no entry fee.

Eligibility

We encourage all artists worldwide to submit their work for consideration.

Prize

The winning design will become the official image for the Tenth Annual Southwest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and will be used in all our promotional materials (Ads, Programs, Posters, Banners, Online, etc.).

The winner also receives a cash prize of $350.00 and two festival passes to the Festival, which covers all screenings and after parties.
