The European Design Awards is the comprehensive annual awards organization celebrating the best of graphic design, illustration and digital design in Europe. A joint effort by 15 communication design magazines from across the continent, the ED-Awards is a brilliant way to publicise your work on an international level.

The ED-Awards boast the most qualified jury around, composed of representatives from the leading European design magazines. They are specialised design editors and critics, whose daily work is precisely to recognise and promote the best of communication design internationally. Further more, an observer appointed by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations, the world body for professional communication design, is always present in order to ensure that all rules are followed to the letter.

All submitted work must have been published in 2012.

The entry fee per standard submission is 120 Euro + VAT and 40 Euro + VAT per student submission.

All designers living or working within Europe may participate. Designers in Europe may submit work done for clients outside Europe.

There are three levels of distinction: Gold, Silver and Bronze.

    • Gold winners receive a trophy during the Award Ceremony. In rare cases, the maximum of two Gold awards may be given in one category.

    • Silver winners receive a diploma during the Award Ceremony. A maximum of five Silver awards are given per category.

    • Bronze winners receive a diploma by post or in the ED-Conference reception. A maximum of five Bronze awards are given per category.

All award winners (gold, silver and bronze) will be published in the ED-Awards catalogue and on the ED-Awards website.
