The participants are requested to prepare an artwork which will be a creative response to this year’s competition theme: Together or apart? The competition is addressed to all the interested artists and students all over the world. The best 10 artworks selected by an international jury will be printed and exhibited in the urban space of the city of Torun, Poland as part of 3rd International Festival of Art on Billboards Art Moves in September/October 2010. The author of the winning entry will receive the main award in the amount of $2200. The main idea behind the festival and the competition is to promote modern art as the form of dialogue with the public and to encourage young artists to create art engaged in the reality. The originators of the Festival believe that art can be very important to contemporary man, breaking people free from everyday routine and offering new clues to the reality. Art should also facilitate the identification of people with the space they live in, triggering a more reflective approach towards the outer space and, at the same time, be an alternative to the flashy, ever-present advertisements.
