Organised by the BoekieBoekie, a Dutch children’s magazine, the stArt Award is an annual international prize for up-and-coming illustrators.

To enter you have to create at least five illustrations by two or more texts especially written for the competition. Choose two or more texts and create:

• Two or more spot illustrations
• Illustration for the fly leaflet
• Full page illustration
• A5 landscape illustration for the BoekieBoekie Calendar 2017-2018.

Entry fee is 21,95 Euro (approx. 24 USD) for a single illustrator and 190 Euro (approx. 208 USD) for a group up to 10 persons.

Eligibility

Open to fine art students and debutants illustrators. If you graduated prior to 1 August 2012, you are not eligible to enter the competition.

Prize

• Grand prize: 750 Euro (approx. 824 USD)
• Children’s jury prize: 500 Euro (approx. 549 USD)
• 2nd prize: 250 Euro (approx. 274 USD)
• 3rd prize: 150 Euro (approx. 164 USD)
• Audience award: 100 Euro (approx. 109 USD)
