The Pastel Society, founded in 1898, is widely recognised for its success in promoting and encouraging the use of pastel within the contemporary art world. Seeking the best in combining traditional skills with creative originality, the Pastel Society now welcomes entries for its Annual Exhibition 2015.

Acceptable media are:

• Pastels
• Oil pastels
• Charcoal
• Pencil
• Conté
• Sanguine
• (any dry media)

All works must be submitted online. Pre-selection from online entries will take place, after which successful artists will be invited to deliver their work to Mall Galleries, London, for final selection.

Maximum of six works per artist. Works should not be larger than 2m along the longest dimension. Work must have been completed during the 12 months prior to the exhibition and not have been exhibited elsewhere.

Entry fee: £15 per work payable at the time of submitting (£10 per work for artists aged 35 or under).

Eligibility

Any artist over 18 from UK and Europe.

Prize

There are a number of prizes and awards available to win.

New for the 2015 edition: £5,000 Zsuzsi Roboz Prize for artists aged 35 and under.
